Don't hate me please. But I find the gamepad heavy, clunky and uncomfortable

.... You hold your arms and the gamepad up in the air the entire time you play?????

What is this I don't even?

You think resting your arms in your lap while you hold the gamepad is "stupid", inexplicably????

I keep seeing the image of his elbows locked, arms straight out, parallel to his knees. kinda like this except fully sitting down.

And after a few hours of gaming my wrists and arms start straining like hell because I'm holding a wide gamepad in the air and its just not ergonomic for long extended use.

Here's your problem. Who plays like this?

I don't find it heavy at all, but then again I'm used to playing the first model of handheld systems and they're frequently heavy. If you're not you might find it a little more weighty than you're used to, but you'll get accustomed to it soon enough.

Do you even lift?
As long as you're in my house, you'll do what I do, and believe what I believe. So butter your bacon... and bacon up that sausage, boy.

no matter what you do holding something wider and longer is going to bring more muscle strain when compared to something more compact.

I don't have that problem. Most people don't, in fact.
