Metroid?

#1EmeraldroxPosted 3/10/2013 6:03:40 AM
After playing metroid's Nintendoland game I wanna give the game a chance (Only one ive tried was Other M and I hated it from what I remember). I'm most interested in starting with the Prime games, but I do have an issue. I don't think I'll enjoy the GameCube version at all as someone who HATES shooting games. Why is the wii version like 200$ more just for motion controls?

Prime Trilogy had a limited release and it's rare.. that's why it's so expensive.

The 15th actually. I'm pretty excited that I can get it for $0.30 because I can't move it from my Wii.

If your accuracy is over 10%, you're trying too hard.

The motion controls actually make it a lot more similar to a shooting game than it usually is... At any rate, the Prime games are really completely unlike what you usually expect out of shooters. Many people even refuse to use the term FPS, even though it's in first person and you're shooting, just because it gives a completely inaccurate image of the game.

Just felt the need to say that after you pointed out how much you hate shooters.

I played Prime on the Gamecube when it came out. At the time I was opposed to anything first person, especially if it was an FPS. I loved Prime so much. It didn't feel like an FPS.

This is true. For example, you usually expect good controls from shooters. Controls that allow you to freely move and aim at the same time. Prime doesn't do that, it wastes the c-stick on changing weapons and makes you nail yourself to the floor if you want to aim at an enemy flying above you (and there are quite a few in the game). Once you have finally aimed at the enemy, you can lock on and then be free to move around again, but you're still needlessly vulnerable for quite a few seconds.

$200?
Where are you shopping?
You can get all three prime games with motion controls, for $60 at GameStop.
