Should Nintendo make a hack'n'slash/ beat 'em up?

Those genres are popular with quite a few gamers. Should Nintendo create a new IP in that genre?
My sig will never happen, but it would be awesome if it did.

Wasn't that what Project HAMMER was going to be? Maybe they'll revive it for the Wii U.

Why would they do that when they already have Bayonetta 2 coming?
Check out reviews by me and my friends at

They already have Bayonetta 2 on the way and while it isn't a hack'n'slash or beat 'em up, it is a shoot 'em up...Sin and Punishment 2.
My Superheroes consist of the band members of the Who, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles

...Bayonetta 2 is being funded by Nintendo.

...Zelda is not a hack 'n slash.

Anyway, I've said this before, but I wouldn't mind a beat 'em up spinoff of F-Zero, based on the SSB version of Captain Falcon.

I was just thinking how Nintendo should make a beat em up using classic Nintendo characters, like Mario, Donkey Kong, and Link. Nintendo would have a huge hit, if they did this.
