In another interview yesterday Miyamoto admitted that the Wii U software library isn't yet as strong as he'd have liked, but claimed Nintendo is now investing significantly in game development.

NOOOOWWWWW they're investing, after they made they profits from hardware....

Very sad indeed. Then not even the saddest part with just now online is becoming important really? 8 year old tech, 10-15 year old thinking, and just now making games WOW!!!!

Damn squatch22 ( TC ) your doing more bad then good here. Go earn some money and buy yourself a Wii U so you can leave these boards.

Online allows for re-playability. The gaming experience changes when you play online because different players bring different play habits to the game. They bring content to the game so that developers dont have to produce it themselves. A typical shooter has a 7 hour main campaign. The multiplayer is worth about 500 hours and up.

Its not just co-op against the AI, its also death match, search and destroy, assassination etc. Lots of fun. The larger the number of players per game, the more exciting. Just dont turn it into an MMO. Console players have lives.

They always say that whatever they suck at is not needed for gaming.

They say it about cloud gaming and said it about online.

They do this because they are a greedy company and do not have much incentive to invest thier billions into their fanbase that defends their redonkulous stances.

Let me ask you this: do you consider ms and *ony as NOT greedy?

No I think most, if not all, corporations are inherently greedy. I think Nintendo doesn't mask their greed as well as most companies do.

It's honestly just annoying that they have all these billions of their customers dollars sitting along with their investors, and they aren't spending it how I would like is all it really comes down to.
