Wait, save files are shared between user accounts?

Wat.

Is there any reason why each user account on the Wii U uses the same save files? :|

It seems to completely invalidate the point of having a user account system on the console in the first place.

for which game? The only one I know of is Nano Assault. All my other games use different saves for each user.

Funny thing about that.

In the two first party Nintendo games out right now, save files are indeed shared between users. In third party games such as Assassin's Creed and Trine 2, they are not. Perhaps Nintendo's later games will capitalize on this feature (that they advertised themselves).

Out of the 11 games I own only Nintendo Land and Nano Assault share files.

So, it seems that I'm just unlucky and that the only games I own so far (Nintendo Land and Mario U) are the ones that share files.

I think it is great that the Wii U can do both shared and separate accounts.

it would be perfect for Animal crossing U. I imagine it have a 'semi-shared' save file. Everybody will have the same town but live in different house , of course, with different characters.
