Am I the only one who thinks $60 for a game is ridiculous?

I now only buy a game at launch if it is something amazing or out of this world. $60 for a game for me is just to much. I can afford it but I just don't think games are worth that much. Anyone else?

60$ is a bargain. If it's to much for you, go spend 0.99$ on some phone app.

Have fun.

Yeah, in the last 5 years I've bought no more than 10 games, if even that, that I felt were worth $60. Not to say I actually paid the full price for all of them, but if I had, only those handful of games would have been worth it. And now that I've been spoiled by PC gaming and Steam, it seems even crazier to pay that much. Even though I could have bought it cheaper online, the last game I bought for $60 was NSMBU when I picked up my ZombiU bundle. Fun game, but for $60 plus tax I don't think it was a good value.

N64 games were $60. According to that, games should be even more expensive due to inflation. But $60 for a game is not absurd. A lot of money goes into these games. There's a reason why HD costs more to develop. Also I've heard that 720 and PS4 games could be $70 due to development costs.

Anything more than $200 for a game console is ridiculous.

N64 games were $60 partly due the high costs of producing the cartridge. You could also argue (and likely win that argument) that the majority of games back then had more content. Especially single player games.
