See my point? He's interested in the game but thinking of shunning it because "EA" appears on the box. It's absurd.

Yeah, asking people to get games they wouldn't otherwise get is a bit much. What you can ask is that they make sure to buy them at retail, perhaps even pre-order them, to make sure that their purchase counts as a wallet-vote. The biggest issue the PSP had wasn't that nobody wanted its games, but that nobody wanted to pay for them when it was so easy to pirate (and the PSP was more popular with the piracy crowd than the DS, which was populated by plenty of store-buyers). Let's not let Wii U become the "used gamers" console.
