gamercat86Posted 3/18/2013 12:53:16 AM | This kind of article would've made more sense a few weeks back. Also, they already showed some of their future titles for the system. There's no point in showing more new stuff that won't come out for a while, and if they don't have the games ready, then they can't release them. That should be common sense, but I guess "Nintendoomed" sells more. Pretty pathetic when people are legitimately excited for an open world Lego Game, Monster hunter, etc, and we get this article days and even hours before those games even release.
Also, the article has a stealth attack saying that the PS4 will release with more "firepower." Perhaps in graphics, but who knows about the games, specially when Killzone looks like CoD with colors (I'm impressed at how they were able to ruin such a good series, starting with KZ3). |
Board_hunter567Posted 3/18/2013 12:57:00 AM (edited) | Welp, it's an opinion piece with a clickbait headline that reads like a blog post. It boils down to "they need a price cut and something else." |

mjc0961Posted 3/18/2013 1:56:25 AM | The Wii U will be just fine, Nintendo says. And it’s about time we all believe it.
Well, Nintendo, we don’t believe it. Who's we? You got a mouse in your pocket, crappy article author? Because I believe it. Once Nintendo's heavy hitters come out, it will be just fine. --- sirtonne posted...This topic is so stupid I had to slap my wife. |

Sheriden24Posted 3/18/2013 4:04:46 AM | The article doesn't really point out many detailed flaws. it points out a few of the Initial shock flaws. I picked up a wii U in prep for the new Xeno game( probably a little too quickly but ehh.) I wanted to hold off for a price cut myself but figured eh why not and went ahead with it. got the thing out and started messing around and It feels ok although some of the menu loading times are a little Stagnate. but I'd say if there is any direct thing that bothers me about the U, it's that it and many of it's functions feel half finished. I mean I am playing through xenoblade chronicles right now and can't believe that I can't even use the giant "smart phone" pad to play a wii game. They offer "nun-chuck " compatibility as if that was an acceptable thing. Now I am excited for the games coming out and I like that I can use the pad for my TV and Cable box but i can't even open a menu on my TV with the pad to change a minor setting. I mean i can change my input yeah but my "too fancy" tv goes to a menu to change the input and then i select my option and press enter. the wii U pad doesn't have that enter function. Explain that well thought out idea when we get fooled into thinking that with the near Ombligllion signals the thing can put out for different tv's and cable boxes and it can't hit enter? almost feels like my mom had a hand in making this...
Now that nonsense aside, the console itself isn't a loss. it's just not being nurtured the way it should be by nintendo. this thing actually does have real potential. i mean playing games on the pad and tv!?!? that's cool no matter who says it's goofy (I said it was goofy...I was wrong...mostly) but not being able to use the functionality for wii games is a huge drawback.
I won't be returning my wii U. I have plans for it( like turning on the TV) but the thing just isn't ready yet. It's an expensive table weight with a load of people in the wii U online community pushing alot of undeserved excitement. |
