assassin's creed, god of war, halo, uncharted literally get released every year and they're the same exact thing

Wouldn't surprise me if the first thing you saw when booting up Assassins Creed IV is the trailer for Assassins Creed V

Stahp.

Uncharted came out in 2007, 2 came out in 2009, 3 came out in 2011. The Vita spinoff came out in 2012.

And they definitely make improvements to each new game.

Uncharted?

What?

That's every two years bro. Halo is every 2-3 years.

How can you put star fox on that list? The last star fox game we got for a console was back in 2005.

If you actually played Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty, you'd realize that there actually is a story to the games and it's not just about spilling blood all over the place. Games like Halo, well I can agree that its story isn't very engaging at all. However, games like Halo or Call of Duty are more or less meant to be played with friends so it's hard to think about the negative aspects of the game.

I'm honestly shocked that Assassins Creed initially sold well enough to justify an annual series and keeps selling. I like the games but a historical/science fiction game seems like something the general public never would have gone for.

Eeeeeeeh, spinoffs and remakes don't count. Especially Halo Wars. With that logic you can say they release Mario every year because of Mario Kart and Sports games.

People do say they release Mario multiple times every year. That's what bugs me about people accusing Nintendo of being "lazy" and "milking" their IPs. Call of Duty is always an FPS that's almost identical to the last one, for better or worse. Mario is spread out across a million genres, often using his name to give a fighting chance to new, unique gameplay experiences that would have been completely ignored if they were called "Newguy and the IP of Newness". Just look at Luigi's Mansion, which plays nothing like any game I've seen before or since. Nobody would've given E. Gadd's House of Ghostsucking a chance. But Luigi's name marks it as more proof that Nintendo can't come up with an original concept, apparently.

You clearly haven't played Call of Duty. You're just mad because it sells like wildfire.

Call of Duty's story, while not good, has far more effort put into it than most military games.

It's the game design in the Campaign that sucks hard.
