EA released NFS:MW on Wii U why not BF4?

It can't be because of EA and Nintendo's bad relationship...

DLC is a method of corporate profiteering. Will you buy into it?

Posted this in another thread, but is relevant here... if what Ubisoft claimed is true, and that a PS360 -> Wii U port only costs $1 million give or take, that means the game only has to sell around 30,000 copies (at full price) to be profitable.

A Wii U release day and date with the other platforms would FAR from set the world on fire, but 30,000 should be no problem whatsoever. Even Mass Effect 3 (10 months late, no DLC support, trilogy launched at the same price on other platforms at the same time) supposedly managed more than that.

So either the porting costs are drastically higher than Ubisoft claims, or EA is just giving Nintendo the middle finger again for little/no reason.

EA did nothing but publish the game and most likely already had a contract in place they had to go through with.

Criterion was the ones that retooled the game for the U.

Because nobody would buy it on Wii U

they have the PC version of Darksiders 2 running on WiiU in 1080 native at 60 fps and full graphics options on. Neither 360 or PS3 can come close

Criterion Games are owned by EA, thereby they are EA.

so it is...I'm still sure there was some legal stuff involved to force them to have to do it.

Maybe Criterion was really gung ho about it and pitched it to them and EA acquiesced. On the other hand, perhaps DICE told EA "we'll do it if you force us to, but we really would rather not". Could be simple as that.
