If Nintendo is so innovative, why cant they develop a new series for Wii U?

Why instead are they doing things like a game using the yarn gimmick again but with Yoshi? Thats the antithesis to innovation

And what new things are other companies making? There has been what? 10 or 12 Zelda games in 25 years for consoles? In just over 10 years there has been 7 or 8 Halos. Who knows how Many CoDs. Not to mention the endless amounts of Madden and other sports games from EA each year which aren't really that different from the previous version. There isn't a whole lot of new things being done that are considered revolutionary. I don't know if there really is anything that can be done that's THAT groundbreaking in a video game anymore.
