Let us discuss the problems with the WiiU.

This board is an enormous joke. The real April Fools joke would be to have a normal thread for once where people can reasonable talk about the system without insulting other board members just for the hell of it.

Been playing MH3U, which was admittedly the largest driving force of me getting a Wii U back at launch.
The Wii U has its problems, but I am still glad I made the purchase, if not for monster hunter alone, then for the inevitable mario kart, zelda, smash brothers, etc. that I love.
But MH fans are in a real good spot right now.
Lets do it.
I don't enjoy the long loading times, but i'm glad it's being fixed.
I would also prefer an account based system, especially with how they're handling digital purchases.
EDIT: Bought the system for monster hunter, and since the game finally came out, my purchase has been well worth it.

"Barkley: Shut up and jam! Gaiden" Is the best RPG of all time.
I suppose if any one game I bought my wiiU for it was lego city. It exceeded my expectations and I love it. MH as well, I've never played one before, tried the demo, did a bit of research and decided to buy it and love that game.
As for improvement I think miiverse can actually show the most improvement. I love miiverse, but one thing I'd really like to see is a single wiki for each community. Basically a single place you can go and each person with the game can submit guides, screenshots, videos, exactly like any other wiki on the internet. You could have the same level of moderation miiverse itself has, and you could let the community really take things to the next level.
I'm holding off discussing the virtual console since it hasn't officially launched and so it's going to be based too much on assumptions.
Other than that I'd like to see nintendo use some of their often ignored IPs more, starfox, metroid, f-zero and others. Starfox could be nothing short of unbelievable on the wiiU if done right(course given their track record...). You could even keep it on rails but use the power of the system, tons of enemies, the courses could twist and turn, offer forks all over etc. As long as it's implemented properly they could even keep the ground combat. Imagine a co-op mode where each player is a different pilot and has their own course through each level, but all courses criss-cross at different points so you still have to defend your teammates pretty much exactly like a single player starfox plays out.
I honestly like the Wii U
I have multiple consoles. Xbox360, Ps3, Wii, 3ds, Ipad, Gaming PC etc.
And the Wii U. I play the Wii U much more than expected.
The Gamepad is great, and I play off tv, and prefer it.
New Super Mario B U in HD is great and the Gamepad feels perfect for it
Monster Hunter 3U is the first Monster Hunter game I have played and it is addicting.
Assassins Creed 3 was a game I had on the Ps3 but never really got into. Then I got it for the Wii U and played it because of the off-tv feature and really enjoyed it.
ZombiU is also much better than expected. Playing it on "chicken" and itīs solid.
The only gripe I have is the 25gb available space on the Premium. I can only have a couple of games on it because I buy digital. But it can be fixed so no biggie. Actually it forces me to play and finish games so I canīt let my ADD get a huge backlog.
My main complain is all the hate this console is getting. It is not deserved in my opinion.
Sure itīs got old school specs. But Nintendo games are pretty old school and thatīs why I like them. And the HD upgrade is worth it. IMO of course.
My only complaint is freezing issues that occur more frequently than I'm comfortable with.
They also should have given it more ram.
Polite conversation should never include Politics, Religion or what constitutes an RPG.
Playing a game for it's story is like watching porn for it's story.
The biggest problem is the lack of games. This is indisputable. There are a few good ones, but the first real killer app to me, Pikmin 3, keep getting delayed over and over. 3rd parties are either doing sloppy port jobs or just skipping over the console entirely, which is a problem Nintendo has faced since the launch of the Playstation.
The other problem is the uPad wasn't the trojan horse that'd bring the console into homes like the touchscreen was for the DS or motion controls was for the Wii. It was a gimmick that the layperson has seen before, and would rather stick to their iPhones playing $1 apps than to buy a console for $60 games. The people who love and enjoy the uPad seem to be a vocal minority, much like I'm a vocal minority when it comes to my love of the Wii's Classic Controller.
Storage space is an issue, but one that at least has an easy solution.
Price and power is not an issue at all. I'm sick of seeing topics troll this point.

What games are you currently enjoying and how have they ranked up to your expectations.
Assassin's Creed 3
Cabela's Dangerous Hunts
Rapala's Pro Bass Fishing
The Amazing Spider-Man: Ultimate Edition
Batman: Arkham City - Armored Edition
Need for Speed: Most Wanted U
Lego City Uncercover
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Nano Assault Neo
Trine 2: Directors Cut
Bit.Trip Presents...Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
Zen Pinball 2 ( I have Plants vs Zombies and Epic Quest )
Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
They've all been really enjoyable. I like the Gamepad features in most of them. Also been playing some Wii games and Wii VC games.
I really enjoy Miiverse and the Gamepad. I don't like no unified account system between Wii U and 3DS. I don't like games being tied to the system.
NNID & PSN : GDoobah
Its too awesome.
Not changing this sig until we get a new main series Tales game released on a Nintendo console in the US
Load times, which will be fixed with next update....
I also don't like how Wii U Chat doesn't better inform players when they're receiving a call. Needs to be more visible or a sound effect needs to happen. Some thing to know someone is calling or has called. I'd also like to leave voicemail.
My response to trolls; GET A JOB!!!
