Does anyone remember how much the Ps360 sucked the first year?

The 360 had a pretty good first year, they took advantage of 2006 before the PS3 and Wii even came out!

It was bad. Real bad. The Xbox 360 had tons of problems with RROD, overheating, noise etc. You could not install discs to hard drive. And the noise from the thing was horrible.
The games where not that good either. And no where near the quality 2 years later.

Ps3 launch was no better. 12 games and only 9 where playable. And the price was pricey.
There was no rumble because Sony said I was not needed and a thing of the past.
You could not download software and do something else. You had to wait for it to finish. Etc.

The Wii U has some issues. But the only thing it really needs is some Nintendo games.
All the other things I can live with no problem. And that is pretty good considering it is less than 6 months old. PS: The freezing issue was solved for me by setting the Miiverse to "English Only". Now make some games Nintendo!

.

Yes. I agree.

And GC

And PS2

And Xbox

And 3DS

And Vita

And N64

It really didn't get good until November. Then it got a massive influx of great games.

Around this time of year, it was basically just Fight Night and Call of Duty 2.

The PS3 and 360s first year didn't suck anywhere near as much as the wiiu's.

You must of been young at the time especially for the ps3's 1st year.

The system had nothing going for it for 2 years, the meme "ps3 has no games" started because of that long dry spell.

Yeah I remember.

360 sucked for at least a year. PS3 for at least 2 years.
But none of these consoles were facing the prospect of the imminent release of a more powerful next gen console.

So, if you want to play the "Does anyone remember" game, here is one.
Does anyone remember how Dreamcast ended up when it had to compete with the PS2 and XBOX which were released not long after the Dreamcast?

Remember when the PS3 and 360 lost all their exclusives in the first year and no one wanted to develop for them? Those were the days.

Yup. I remember when the concept of "exclusives" suddenly disappeared. It really boggled the mind back then, but now people are acting like not getting a multiplatform port is a sign of failure.

Oh, were you being sarcastic? Because that totally happened. It seems like people keep forgetting that games haven't always been expected to release on every system... Bizarre.

Remember when Rayman Legends and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge were exclusive then went multiplat?

Obviously not.

Can't wait to see them try to justify it for the new Sony and MS consoles next year after all this Wii U bashing, though.
