Game is pretty bad. Over saturation of characters led to nothing but a mess. Every character played the same, unique fatalities were replaced with a really bad create a fatality system. Arcade mode wasn't that great because the endings were really bad. No artwork renders for the endings, just speech as your character does some dance.

Konquest wasn't actually that bad. But Tavern was pretty lame. And that got pretty repetitive as well. And the Krypt even sucked. If I recall correctly, it actually told you what was in a tomb before you even unlocked it. So there was no sense of mystery of what you were going to unlock.

So yeah.

If you have a PS2 or an older model of the PS3, I would recommend getting Mortal Kombat Kollection (PS2) as it includes that, Deception, and Shaolin Monks. http://amzn.com/B001CLG6SG

But if you don't have a PS2 or an older PS3 model (since the newer models no longer support PS2 games), then sure, get the Wii version of Armageddon. To be honest, I have no idea what the Wii version is like (I was thinking about purchasing it at one time but didn't) so take a risk if you want.

The most recent "Mortal Kombat' blows every other 3D MK game out of the water. Armageddon is as generic as it gets.

It's not that good though. Fun for a single player fighting game, collecting everything and whatnot, but it's just not much fun for multiplayer, IMO.

But Shaolin Monks is a blast. One of the few good 3D beat 'm ups there are.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

It's the best version compared to the ones on the other consoles. But sadly, it's just a novelty. The RPG mode in this version is lackluster as well (terrible story).

It's a fine local multiplayer game (MK9), I couldn't possibly care less about online play.
