Wii U Batman Armored edition $20 Best Buy Sunday. Good news/bad news

That's good news for a great game. Though bad news that Nintendo has to bargain basement titles for Wii U so early. And yes, it's Nintendo who sparks these sales, NOT BEST BUY. Best Buy, when offering sales like this, works in conjunction with Nintendo, where Nintendo offers the game to BB for a rock bottom wholesale price to move dead inventory.

So, good news/bad news.

Nintendo doesn't control the prices of games they do not make.

This version offers little over the versions already available on other formats that came out a year earlier. It makes sense the price will natural slide down faster so it is similar to the other formats versions in price.

The game came out 5 months ago what do you expect? I just bought Dead Space 3 for 20 dollars off last week and its only been out since February.

With the exception of a very few, games today don't hold their value for more than a few months.

Realistically, this game should have been no more than $40 new at launch on Wii U, and preferably $30 since that's what the GotY editions were priced at in November on the other systems. Arkham might have sold way better if people with a speck of sense couldn't see they were being ripped off by paying double what PS360 owners were for pretty much the same game.

Not knocking the game, but why should Wii U owners be expected to pay double for any game, let alone a then-year-old one? And then devs complain about sales...talk about sending a game to die.

Darksiders Wii U was $15, this $20, many other Wii U games dropped $20.

Not good news, Nintendroids.

Yeah and Batman: Arkham City GOTY edition is $10.20 on Steam. I'd rather go with the superior PC version.
