Nintendo out of touch with why system failing

I would think if nintendo was the third party support to home consoles they would be killing it in the sales department. I really don't see them selling a ton of Wii U's like they did the Wii.

New Mario, Zelda and Smash bros. That's all it's gonna take and sales will skyrocket.
The system is not failing. It's just a baby and it'll grow with time like all babies do.

After the Wii it's def the hardware for me. Not that very fond of the Wii, I didn't get a 3DS due the unimpressive hardware (and no games yet worth a purchase)
and I'm holding off the Wii U due the hardware.

Every console launch starts like this, people call every console doomed because of 2 reasons.

1)New kids are born everyday.
2)People trying to stir **** with those fanboys.

Also Nintendo going into third party territory is bad from a market prospective...because instead of everyone (Developers) having to deal with Nintendo on their system. Now everyone has to deal with Nintendo's Money Makers on ALL of the systems Nintendo would release on which would mean less cash to go around to the others unless you have money to toss around like that.

So in my opinion, Nintendo can sit on their own mountain and leave the rest alone.

I'm really tired of this excuse. No system has had this bad of a start. Yes, some systems like the PS3 had slow starts but they had high sales and several announced games. Nintendo hasn't been announcing anything. They just keep apologizing without actually doing anything about it.

I think he's right to an extent but also I think Nintendo is overlooking the fact that people think it's some kind of upgrade and don't really know what the system is (or even exists). They need to correctly convey that the system not the Wii, that the system fixes many of the Wii's problems, and what make the system unique compared to other systems. They need to advertise better and much much more and they really need to convey what the system is.

Wait a minute...I thought this was a topic about the Republican Party. BOOM!

eh, Republican and Democrat is irrelevant in the political debate. All that matters is where you lie on the spectrum, far left (Communist, Fascist, Socialist) Left (Liberal), Centre (Moderate lolz) Right (Conservative, Libertarian) Far Right (Anarchy). Your point you are trying to get across is a red herring given the topic at hand, and is ironic. The modern day "Republican" is very much like JFK, and leaning more towards the left.

When your game commercials dont show games that look any more advanced than the games people have been playing elsewhere for the past 8 years, thats a problem.

It also helps add to the perception and confusion that it isnt even a new console.

Of course, lack of software is the main culprit. Nintendo software alone wont be enough this time, unless they have something groundbreaking like Wii Sports that actually gets good press. Nintendo Land is probably the most uneventful and unappealing launch title ever.
