As it's running on complete emulation, the Wii cannot recognize the Pro Controller. This would require Nintendo to make the Wii U Pro controller compatible with Wii. Likely through some kind of firmware update.

Seems like it could be possible to implement as Wii supports Blu Tooth obviously.

I'd wager we might see the use of the Pro Controller when the VC proper is released for the Wii U.

There are such things as GC to classic controller converters. That might be a workaround... though why you would want to use a GC controller for VC games I don't know.
Systems that block used games are in violation of US and EU laws.
If Micro$oft tries to do it... CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TIME!

You can use the Pro pad later once the N64 games roll out to Wii U I bet.
