In the same timeframe, with it's top ten games better received as the ps 3 launch top 10, and, most inportantly, happens to also get income from the best selling platform by far, the 3ds, with software sales absolutely dominating without compare, and some people ACTUALLY think nintendo is failing? I'm not talking about the trolls that know nintendo is doing fine and just want to irritate, but about people that really BELIEVE nintendo will fail. Let me know if you do, and WHY. Because you make no sense whatsoever.

Facts
1) President of nintendo, shareholders and media think Wii U sales are doing bad
2) random guy on gamefaqs believe Wii U is selling great
3) Wii U got the bulk of it sales in the first 2 week with a shape decline
4) wii U is being outsold by 7 year old consoles.
5) a lot third party developers are not developing Wii U games,
6) No true next gen games have been annouced for Wii U, ALL the third party games are current gen multiple plats.

Yeah it seems to make sense to me. Since you know nothing about how business works let me tell you. Companies want growth, not a huge initial sale and tapering declining sales every month after. In consoles yes gross sales matter b/c of the user base, but 3 million sold with decline sales is not considered good.

You measure Wii u success with sales? Well, Mr. Investor, I'm glad your enjoyment of a console is in direct proportion to the stock price of the company of whom you bought it from. However, me being a gamer, would now like to see some actual games.

Sorry but I'v been busy with Lego City 25+ hrs & Monster Hunter 30+hrs

And people say there's nothing to play on Wii U.

Plus I still need to beat all levels in Nintendo Land for Zelda/Pikmin/Metroid, then get higher scores afterwards.

Monster Hunter 3 is a port that I've already played, and I don't like Lego City. What I meant were some real games. Some Nintendo first party, or some 3rd party giants.

NSMBWU(2D Mario being Nintendo's BIGGEST series, by FAR), Assasin's Creed 3 and Black Ops 2 all say hi. Don't know why you're complaining about MH3U if you ported it. Especially since your port didn't have online multiplayer, with multiplayer being a pretty huge deal for MH3U. Unless you are incorrectly calling a standalone expansion a port.

Seriously, it had the best launch window so far out of WiiU/Wii/360/PS3/Vita/3DS. What more do you want?

And by what more do you want, I mean which specific games do you want to be out RIGHT NOW?

The "sales don't count" argument was only made up when the Wii was kicking everyone's ass.

Just want to touch on this, you're lying. True next gen = Wii U exclusive when talking about this console. Muliplat next gen games exist but for now I'll talk about these. X (monolith soft), Bayonetta 2, the Wonderful 101, next gen zelda, next gen 3D mario, yoshi's epic yarn.

As for "ALL the 3rd party games are current gen multiplats", MH3U (3DS is the same gen as Vita, Wii U, PS4, and Nextbox), lego city undercover, zombiU, bayonetta 2/fire emblem x SMT/the wonderful 101 might count depending on your definition of 3rd party, as nintendo is only developing half of only one of those games, and scribblenauts unlimited (same as MH3U, and PC doesn't have gens).

Oh, and care to name those 3rd parties that aren't making Wii U games?

Same could be said for PS4 - Watchdogs, AC4, Arkham origins... all are current gen games that will also be on xbox360...

About the new ps and xbox... They better price them right, because the visual jump between gens has never been this small.

I believe most average consumers won't get it if the same games are available in a slightly less shiny visual package for the device they already have.

These diminishing returns in graphics will also slow the usual console life cycles, so all three devices will have ages to find their market.

But if a console isn't succesful enough at launch, devs will likely offer lower support - meaning there will be a year of few releases as every company is deciding which of the 9 platforms to support, all while learning the systems. (ps3, x360, wii u, vita, 3ds, ps4, durango, pc or android-based consoles)

I can't wait! I'm hyped!
Both for the second wave of wii u releases and the next consoles by sony and microsoft!

It is important to remember that momentum counts and right now the Wii U is flat. Basically they got a great jump start on the marathon and tripped over their shoelaces...

It doesn't mean Nintendo will fail it just means they need to get their **** together before the Wii U does fail.

Since when was console success not measured in sells? That's like trying to say the goal of the Indy 500 is to not finish first...

1. PS3 had shortage problems, my State included, so the 2.4 mil was not due to lack of demand.

2. PS3 monthly sales were never as low as the Wii U monthly sales after its launch.

3. While the PS3 had a weak launch, with only one good game imo (R:FoM) the Wii U library is also weak, and does not have the strong games and 3rd party lineup promised by Nintendo.

4. Nintendo had a prediction of I recall 5.5 mil (maybe it was 5 mil) sold by the end of March, lowered it down to 4 mil, and it seems they are now only going to reach 3.5 mil.

5. I don't think most people who claim Nintendo is going to fall or the the Wii U will flop long run are serious. They are just stirring the pot and it seems to be working well (how many of this exact same topic have already been made?). The few that do actually believe this are ignorant, and believe a weak launch=failure long run...despite 3DS disproving this.

1. Wrong. PS3 was widely available at the time.

2. PS3 launched in a better economy.

3. Wii U's was better. Nintendo's first party games alone were strong enough to single-handedly push the Wii to first place. As far as third party games are concerned, so far the usual suspects aren't supporting the Wii U. No one in their right mind expected a dramatic industry-wide shift of all major third parties to Nintendo. Nintendo promised better third party support, and so far the Wii U has a decent amount. The 3DS is the only system selling well in Japan, but that hasn't stopped all the Vita, PSP or PS3 third party support. Those parties will always favor Sony. You can't blame Nintendo for failing to sway those who don't want to be.

4. And? Should we go into how much Sony has had to do that for the Vita or the PS3 in the past?

5. lol Yes, they are. If you're referring to the ones that are just trolls, then duh.
