Online Wii Channels, WiiConnect24 no longer supported as of 6/28

It's unclear whether this is just for Japan or for all regions, but I contacted Nintendo asking for a clarification. I also translated the official announcement for you guys in the link above.

It wont affect netflix im positive.that's being runned by netflix, not nintendoomed

I would assume no it does not. Netflix has its own servers which should not be affected by anything that Nintendo does.

The internet channel isn't on the list either.
This is basically going to turn regular Wiis into the Wii U's Wii Menu.

Inevitable development. Looks like Netflix and Wii Shop Channel aren't effected, so nothing to be too upset about.

I was gonna say this would turn all Wiis into Wii Minis but I remembered that pathetic thing doesn't even has input for SD cards or connects to the Shop Channel.
