contemplating getting a Wii U and selling wii

Is there any reason not to get rid of the wii? also how much could I get for a lunch wii?

Not a whole lot? Also GC b/c for the Wii is useful plus if you have any saved data, digital games, and VC titles on the Wii can be transferred to the Wii U

That depends. How fresh is the lunch Wii? ;-)

Honestly, though, hold onto the Wii console. It's not going to get you much as a private sale, and trade in value is just going to offend you. :(

Other than GC theres not much reason to keep it if you don't play it. However its not worth much either and you'll need to keep your wiimotes for wiiu. I'm keeping mine because I collect consoles and games but I'll likely never use it again.
