LOL. But seriously, thanks for vaguely agreeing. For me, I think Nin10do will exit the console market and become a third party. The handheld market, that's stretching it, but I'll give Nin10do a %10 chance exiting the handheld market. (Now how much do those analysts make?)

Lol. Nintendo is definitely not exiting the console market. At least not this Gen.

Nintendo isnt exiting the console market anytime soon. While i dont see the wii u selling anywhere near wii numbers i do see about 50 million lifetime sales for the wii u and if that ends up being the case thats more than the n64 and the gamecube which were Nintendo's worst selling consoles of all time.

Why would they waste ad money during the lowest stage of the yearly economy?

They're just waiting till people have the money for it. Lots of their target demographic don't get spare money in their budget until summer when overtime opportunities start piling up.

What a load of crap. Stop trying to pretend that this is all going according to Nintendo's plan. The truth is that Nintendo had to drastically lower their sales projections (from 5.5M to 4M, and they probably won't even make that.)

Btw holiday season is when game sales are at their peak, not summer. And Nintendo failed horribly with Wii U's first holiday season. So much for getting a head start on the competition. Just imagine how bad it'll be when Wii U's actual competition shows up.

they have the PC version of Darksiders 2 running on WiiU in 1080 native at 60 fps and full graphics options on. Neither 360 or PS3 can come close

Nintendo is going under and you defend the company? You keep saying how good Nintendo is doing, yet the Wii U has sold only 1,004,000 units; and is selling 28% SLOWER than the Gamecube. Mind you, the FREAKIN GameCube which had BOTH Pikmin and Smash release 1 to 2 months after the launch.

Now, lets point out facts as to why the Wii U is bombing:

*No advertising left and right like the Wii did.
*No memorable ads. (ex: "Wii would like to play")

*No first party games. Even Pikmin would had sufficed a little more sales. (Yet, they claim they delayed Pikmin for the third party games. Your joking, right? PIKMIN?! If it was a 3D Mario, I would absolutely agree as a 3D mario would have cannibalized the third party. It's like saying the iPad Mini will get retina. NO, it won't or else the selling point of the regular iPad is out the window.)

*Most of everybody thinks the Wii U is a ADDON for the Wii. Great, way to go Nintendo. What ads they do have don't blast the fact that the U isn't an addon.

oh look, it's AstralFrost's little brother...mini troll

I'm not saying game sales peak in summertime, I'm saying households don't usually get much disposable income until summertime minimum.

Have you ever noticed that NO businesses do well February-May? This isn't even just businesses just offering luxury items, even businesses that offer necessities don't do well. The reason is that everyone overspent on the holiday season and there aren't many overtime opportunities until summer.

Have you ever seen any game company advertise their product at this time of year? There's a reason for that, they're just throwing their money into a hole.

1. Nintendo is far from going under

2. The Wii U as of just December has sold 3 Million Consoles plus whatever the sales afterwards are.

3. Advertisement and games are the issue but the games will come.

4. Only ignorant people think the Wii U is an Add-on. Gamers would know better (And if they clam it's an add on then they are causl gamers that don't know jack about gaming.
