Some Wii games that Wii U owners without games to play should look into:

Xenoblade Chronicles
The Last Story
Pandoras Tower
New Play Control Pikmin and Pikmin 2
Red Steel 2
Sin and Punishment Star Successor
Bit.Trip Complete
Battalion Wars 2
Innocent Aces:The Sky Crawlers
No More Heroes 1 & 2
Madworld
Metroid Prime 3/Trilogy
Little Kings Story
Muramasa The Demon Blade
Cursed Mountain
Geometry Wars Galaxies
Conduit 2
Goldeneye
The Conduit
The quality varies, but at worst they'll keep you occupied. Most of them are cheap, and I'd say they're all worth what they cost (Including Xenoblade and MPT). I tried to avoid the games that were painfully obvious, like Super Mario Galaxy.

"Saying Metroid Other M is better than the Prime Trilogy because you hate shooters is like saying Aliens:CM is better than FF7 because you hate RPGs.

Glad you mentioned Cursed Mountain! That game gets overlooked way to often.

I'd also recommend Endless Ocean 1&2 very relaxing games and if you are fascinated by the ocean like myself then you'll have a blast.

Ok, Last Story looks pretty epic. Just got a Wii U .. so is it backwards compatible with that game if I buy the Wii disc or do I have to download? I ask because the EShop prices in UK are ridiculous :(

I'd stick Rune Factory Frontier and Opoona on that list.

Yes you just put the disc straight into the Wii U. You should have no problems, just make sure you have a Wiimote and other required original Wii controllers.

You need to buy the disk. You also need to have a Wii remote with whatever attachment it might need.
