C/D: Nintendo should sell music from their games to the public

They do, I thought... Just not in the States?

There are handful of fan-made remixed soundtracks that are authorized.

They should really put the soundtracks on the eShop. It's pretty easy cash.

I think Sony are the only ones that do it though:

C. I really want the soundtrack to the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

All attempts at duplicating it have ended in disaster: four test subjects were horribly broken and twisted when they engaged our Morph Ball prototypes.

Anyone have the Diddy Kong Racing cd that's in the shape of Diddy's head? I still jam out to it sometimes, although the irregular shape means it won't play in a lot of players.

c. There's no harm in this idea, more soundtracks need to be released outside Japan.

Though I think Nintendo should just hire an orchestra to play their most iconic songs and sell them as an album. I know it would sell like crazy. The sound track that came with Skyward Sword brought me chills with some of my favorite songs getting a whole new breath of life.

Smashing Live did that but only for Nintendo Power readers.

Sadly most game soundtracks are only released in Japan, and the few that make it to the US are usually scaled back. (Dragon's Dogma fell victim to this) and import costs are simply insane.
