Gunvalkyrie...

I remember that one. It was for the original Xbox.
It was like this sci-fi platformer. I like that.

Whatever happened to Gunvalkyria?

Actually, when was the last time Sega had a good sequel?

I say Sega even as of recently. I am a huge Nintendo supporter even though I own all current consoles Including a no game WiiU. And the best Mario game last released was Sunshine (which was awesome and just perfect IMO ) generations however is better than any Mario or sonic game I've ever played. Speed running that game is soooo fun and playing it on pc with mods is priceless. Not to mention sega games are too pretty, and have wayyyyh better graphics and they have Phantasy Star Online 2. That's all

VERY GOOD QUESTION !

Simple answer:

Best Nintendo games (LofZelda, Pokemon, Kirby, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Star Fox Series - NOT INCLUDING Mario's, IMHO, sorry!) better than most Sega games, with a few HUGE exceptions:

- Skies of Arcadia;
- NiGHTS into Dreams;
- Shenmue;
- Yakuza;
- Virtua Fighter;
- Virtual On;
- Panzer Dragoon;
- Dragon Force;
- Shining Force;
- Policenauts;
- Radiant Silvergun & soooo many other 2D Shmups;
- Sonic, Bubsy, Sparkster & soooo many other platforming gems;
- Ghouls 'n Ghosts;
- Shinobi;
- Phantasy Star;
- House of the Dead;
- ETC. ETC. ETC.

PLEASE, SOMEONE, STOP ME!!!

Really, SEGA >>>>>> NINTENDO. In general, MINUS the many half-baked SEGA ones!

Did you just imply Bubsy was a good game/series?

GET. THE F***. OUT.

SEGA games generally differ greatly in quality, with some amazing games and some games we should just forget exist. Nintendo is usually at their worst when a game is disappointing, even when it's still a good game, because it isn't great. They hold higher standards and it shows.

Well, he's got a point. The only real reason people remember it was "OMG MARIO'S IN TEH 3D!", but there's nothing about gameplay, story, content, no one talks about Mario 64's fun factor, they just say it's "good" with no explanation.

I didn't think this topic would get so many replies.

I find the writer's style abrasive. I've read about a third and will not continue.

I started skimming it at some point. I got to the very last paragraph and thought "Wait, this paragraph is the only time in this whole ridiculous rant that he even mentions Sega?" I searched for "sega" with ctrl+f and saw that I had missed some other short paragraphs that mentioned it. Looking it over again and reading the Sega parts, he glosses over that side of his argument too quickly. He doesn't back up why he thinks Sega is so much better. He just makes a few broad statements about all of Sega in general and states his opinion about them like it's this great unquestionable fact.
