Strobe effect on gamepad when playing Darksiders II?

Playing Darksiders II on Wii U and with off-tv play there is a strobe line which is only apparent sometimes, but it can be pretty frequent. Is this common or?

I've never experienced it before. Is it just Darksiders II, or does it do that with other games?

I couldn't say for sure, I know I've experienced some weird streaming issues a couple of times while playing the F-Zero Nintendo Land game. I haven't played much-nsmb wii u mostly with wii remotes, nintendo land, and now darksiders II-so it's hard to say.

It's not the most fast paced game-it's also first party which is a good sign-but I don't see the streaming messing up with the gamepad in NSMB U.

Actually wait, looking up the term "screen tearing" from a GF review now, it's actually common for Darksiders II on Wii U, huh. Well, that sucks but I'd rather it be the game having a bit of an issue rather than me needing to get new hardware xD
