So did Nintendo just not have games ready to show for E3?

Why won't they show up again? I mean people were expecting a new Smash, Mario etc...

They are showing up. With Mario, Smash and Mario Kart from what we know. Likely 3DS titles too.

They are showing off new games; they're just not doing a press conference for whatever reason.

Though they will be doing one or two big Nintendo Directs around that time.

Mega Man Powered Up is the best PSP exclusive and you know it.

People were expecting those because Nintendo promised they'd be there. And we have no reason to believe they won't. They will be showing off games/demos/trailers at E3, they just won't be dancing like monkeys on stage when it happens. They've already stated that they'll have a presentation during "the E3 period", which almost certainly means a Nintendo Direct that essentially takes the place of the press conference, and is our most likely source for the trailers and new game announcements.

Really, with just the games we already know about, they could easily fill up an hour if they just dedicated five minutes to each game - and they could easily dedicate more than five minutes. 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Bayonetta 2, X, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, Yarn Yoshi, Smash Bros. - and those are just the Wii U games that we know nothing about except their existence and which we know are ready to be shown. Throw in 3DS, with ALttP2, Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Yoshi's Island 2, and of course freaking Pokemon X/Y. Then add anything that hasn't been announced, like the Retro game that's been in development since before the Wii U's announcement...

As you can see, the issue is not a shortage of games to talk about.

They're having two smaller conferences instead of a big conference. I think it's a bad move, but whatever. We should still get some decent footage and see some demos for a lot of first party games.

You know, in normal circumstances, asking a community of people who have gathered to discuss a subject on a site called "game frequently asked questions dot com" would be the most efficient form of research.

Sure, this board is an exception to that rule, but other sources of "research" are just as troll-filled these days. Hell, that's probably how he was led to the false conclusion in the first place.

So we should be understanding of TC being absolutely wrong merely because he posted it here?

Or you know he could just "research" the 100s of topics already posted about the subject. That why there is a SEARCH button.
