People keep saying E3 is huge but.....

it hasnt been since 2006.
Like willy wonka's chocolate factory, the gates have been closed.
Nintendo's news will still get out there without the big press event at e3 just as well as companies who do hold the big press event.
but ya dont act like E3 is great anymore.
It died 7 yeas ago

E3 is where memories are made.
No memories from Nintendo this year. Doomed forever.

You will remember the E3 that Nintendo didn't do a huge confrence.

It's still a big platform, but the memories it's been leaving since 2006 have been laughable at best and cringe-worthy at worse.

nah, your either a plain and simple troll or a sony fanboy. Xbot's ( at least smart ones), would be trolling the sony boards since all you see are sony fanboys who troll both microsoft and nintendo boards

It's still significant, just increasingly less so. It's mostly just become a place to announce predictable/rumored sequels and needless demonstrations of already announced titles which show off no noteworthy features or gameplay mechanics.

Unless you're physically there it's become boring for the viewer (aside from Konami 2010). Nintendo's approach is a huge risk, but it allows for a few very interesting opportunities, namely the ability to have separate conferences for separate audiences. Biggest problem is that it breaks tradition of one big flashy show you can watch together (my biggest concern), corny jokes, pausing for applause, and bringing some developer to come out and say "game X is great, I worked on it, look forward to it."
The fact that it's different makes me look forward to it but at the same time it could just completely fail.
