Why the **** hasn't Nintendo made Super Mario Bros for iOS?

Seriously, put a 0.99 price tag and you'll make the money you lost back. Now is not the time to be selfish Nintendo, you don't have many options at the moment....

Yeah and some 2D games would be pretty hard. Mario can be a pretty fast game for a 2D platformer and it only gets more complex when you go up the list.

Or they could do what Square-Enix does with their FF franchise, over price the games.

The Mario franchise is far to profitable to do it. If they can still sell the NES games for $5 a pop on VC why lower the price for somebody else's device?

If they were to do anything I imagine it would by mini-game collections based on old Mario Party games. Or the Mini-games found in the Mario 64 DS cart. Or old forgotten franchises they want to breath new life into.
