Why is nintendo still creating video game consoles?

Nintendo will never surpass Playstation or the Xbox and with the Playstation 4 lineup already looking delicious, Why did nintendo and the WII u even bother trying? Now on the flip the 3DS is an amazing handheld system, its a seller, the 3DS really has no competition and to say the VITA is the 3DS competition is laughable at best, Nintendo should just focus all its resources on the 3DS and it could be a godlike handheld system changing handheld gaming as we know it.

The WII U just seems like a waste of time and money to me.

The Wii had remarkable sales. Why would they drop out?

The 3DS is a success now.
Just as well Nintendo ignored everyone that told them to make mobile phones instead when it was first released.....

The PS4 lineup does look delicious, crunchy and difficult to eat, but delicious.

Maybe because they make a nice profit off it?

Only pre-teens and fools care about which console is selling the most.

Only naive fools don't care. More sales = more support = more games, unless you're Nintendo.
