How Long Till It's Outdated?

#1zentazymPosted 5/11/2013 8:54:16 AM
The Wii U will be outdated pretty soon- tablets are constantly evolving, and the next gen of consoles are on the way in less then a year.
Against tablets, it's comparable to the "Consoles vs. PC" argument, except that the main point in that debate is "Price vs Quality," where consoles are more affordable but PC's are technologically better and upgradable. Their isn't exactly a big price difference between Wii U and a good tablet though.
The console side is already kinda happening. The Wii U is just on par with today's consoles, so the new consoles are going to inevitably blow away the Wii U.
So how long? Is the Wii U already outdated? ?

1. It doesn't use a tablet.

2. Power doesn't matter. Games do.

The pad is basically a tablet, and it could be argued the games are outdated as well.

It's already outdated --- but so are the NextBox and PS4. That said, there is nothing wrong with that as long as they reliably provide quality entertainment.

The Gamepad is not a tablet, either basically or otherwise. And while that could be argued, said argument would be weak and unpersuasive.

Maybe? But so far every generation has not turned out that way.

More like, 5 years ago. Even by typical console standards, the Wii U is more than half a decade out of date.

It is a tablet. Might as well call it an iPadU
