How Long Till It's Outdated?

My NES is outdated but I've played it more than my PS3 in the past year.

1. It doesn't use a tablet.

2. Power doesn't matter. Games do.

The pad is basically a tablet, and it could be argued the games are outdated as well.

But a tablet isn't a pad...Until I see buttons on a tablet you can't compare.

Considering Nintendo's gameplay has hardly evolved past 1999, I think that argument is decided.

Dead-on.

That's really sad...

Wii U is for Children and the Niche alternative retro crowd. Buying a Wii U is like buying an old Ferrari. I'd say the pixels on the Wii U screen was outdated 5 years ago, you can see blocky edges on some things. No excuse when the iphone has better quality. You don't buy a Nintendo for power, you get lured in by the gimmick, have fun get bored then get a bout of buyers remorse then post on gfaqs then keep gaming or let it collect dust or become firewood

More like, 5 years ago. Even by typical console standards, the Wii U is more than half a decade out of date.

This is sadly the correct answer.

Power=More potential in gameplay

Pong is just as fun as it ever was, and my digital watch has more computing power than the machines that ran it.

More power won't make a game that sucks any better, and being on less powerful hardware doesn't make a good game worse.

1. Take a tablet from at least three years ago
2. Slap on some buttons and analog sticks
3. Make it fat and non-portable
4. Wii U Gamepad
See, you've had a tablet with buttons all along.

When it launched it was already outdated.

Like all consoles it's pretty much last roughly a year before computers become more powerful.

My computer is already MUCH more powerful than ANY of the next gen systems will be.

If you're playing a console for "power" you're playing one for the wrong reason. A good gaming PC will always be more powerful.
