I hope Wii U gets a game genie like PS3 did.

Unlocking stuff you don't feel like unlocking the long way, speed up grinding, or just flat out cheating extremely extends the replay value of a game.

I'll less likely sell games that have this new found replay value as well.

Honestly I find myself getting bored faster whenever I cheated.

Most of the cheats have 2 mins of fun and then get old. Also if you don't like the game enough to unlock the things by playing it you might as well just not play it.

^ You're doing it wrong.

Games like Resident Evil 6, Red Faction Armageddon etc you have to beat like 20 times just to unlock the stuff you want.

Resident evil 6 has some unlocks that require you to beat 600 types of the same enemy.
in most cases you'll only run into that enemy during the entire game at most maybe 60 times.

So yea, game genie as a purpose.

So I take it you hated using cheats on GTA or saints row games?
What if you wanted to start a new game with items sometimes New game + doesn't offer?

So much fun can be had if you know what you're doing.
