Has anyone tried an external SSD for their games?

I just thought of the idea, and now I'm curious as to how much it would improve load times for games, or if it would even work.

It would work, but be bottlenecked by USB to the point where it wasn't worth it.

It should be fine if have an eSATA port going to SATA 3. The question is... What's the point?

Ops, forgot this wasn't the PC board. You are talking about hooking up a SSD to slow as crap USB 2.0. That's just stupid and a waste of money. It's like buying a Ferrari and replacing the engine with a riding lawn mower engine.

On pcs you don't even see a decent performance increase unless its hooked up to SATA 3.
