I got stuck not even five minutes into Super Metroid

The difference between old games and new games is that old games assume that the play is not a completely incompetent moron, and can figure out a few basic things for themselves just by pressing different buttons on the controller.

Ironically, when the old games were new, we were all incompetent morons. I remember not knowing about the run button, so I figured I needed something like the Speed Booster to get past that one area in Brinstar. (I think I actually knew the Speed Booster existed somehow, and thought that was the only way to run.) So I went all the way back to the beginning, started poking around in the direction of the Wrecked Ship... Haha, good times.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

One doesn't simply get stuck with in 5 minutes of a game.

Did you try looking up down and around.
There are VERY obvious places to be seen.

Yep, I've gotten stuck like three or four times so far and just got the charge beam. I love it.

Just deleted the game.

My guess is that you're sub-10-years-old.

If you really had a problem with the game, it's either too hard for you, or too puzzling. The fact that you don't have the means to solve either problem can lead to only my first assumption.

Alundra is the best top-down Zelda game since Link to the Past.
Darksiders is the best 3D Zelda game since Ocarina of Time.

**Guy is stuck in an 18 year old game**
**Tells everyone on GameFAQs about it, and that he deleted it**
**Doesn't bother looking at GameFAQs guides**

^^^ My thoughts too.

TC... why in the WORLD wouldn't you just use an online guide? And, as you can clearly tell, you came to the wrong board to share this kind of information.

garbage game is garbage

Even though the "(adjective) (noun) is (adjective)" reply is one of the douchiest things anyone can type on the internet... people are still entitled to their opinions. How in the f*** was that a moddable post? And when I ask that, what I really mean is "how can you twist and bend the 'rules' of this place to make it seem like that's a moddable post"?

Generation of paper-thin skin... excellent. Cheers.

Even funnier is watching 40 year olds holding a X360/PS3 controller and not knowing what to do with all those buttons. That's right the very people who grew up with 8 bits Mario.

It goes both ways.

I grew up with 8 bit mario and I'm 30. Someone who's 40 would've been around to see pong and already grown by the time mario was out lol

SMB came out 28 years ago champ.

Sooo...he's not lying? You do realise the popularity of NES Super Mario Bros lasted longer than 6 years, right? He easily could have played the game when he was 7 or 8.
