Do you think Nintendo Wii U is the last home console Nintendo will develop?

Seems like third party developers are shying away from the Wii U for it's under performance in terms of power.

Don't Expect The Next Dragon Age Or Mass Effect On Wii U

Unreal Engine 4 not designed to work on Wii U

EA Has No Games in Development For Nintendo's Wii U

Third Parties aren't attracted to the Wii U and given that it's not picking up steam, it looks to be passable unless e3 convinces my otherwise. Third party devs seem to pass up the Wii U for it's inferiority.

If anything the Wii U is just good for it's first party titles and franchises.
That's all the Wii U is good for. It seems like a repeat of what happened to the wii, except everyone caught on to the gimmick.

Games I've played most often on the Wii: Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Twilight Princess, that's it.... Hated Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart wii was a joke, no 2p grand prix like DD, Barely played Metroid Prime 3, played a bit of Paper Mario Wii and moved on after. Played 360 often and left Wii to collect dust.

Chances are that I might skip the Wii U entirely. If Smash Bros is going on the 3DS it will seem to be a bit like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

Since Nintendo is always getting outclassed by Sony and Microsoft, in terms of technology being pushed, online infrastructure, tech specs, it seems like Nintendo could opt into the handheld market and have a device to wirelessly sync with an apple tv'esque machine and output your handheld into a larger screen or something. But then again Apple seems to dominate with the iPad and iPhone. facing_nintendo_this_generation

TL;DR: Wii U is for Nintendo games only, Multiplatform games go to Microsoft and Sony platforms.

No. They'll just slightly alter they're next strategy but still won't conform. IMO we don't need 3 consoles that do the same things.

Considering that Nintendo are the only one of the big three who consistently profit from their hardware, they are the *least* likely to stop making consoles.

Why would it be? Also, this gen just started a mere 6 months ago, and there are years to go. By the end of the gen the Wii U will be in a much better position, pwning the InteractiveMovieShooterStation 4 and InteractiveMovieShooterBox 3.

Stop these silly topics. This is like the billionth topic on this subject so quit spamming them and close your topic.

Also, as far as the topic subject, never gonna happen.
It opens doors. Doors to the pleasures of heaven or hell I do not care which.
Not a fan of the InteractiveMovieStation3. I like to play games, not movies.

We don't know anything about how the WiiU will turn out by the end of the gen. Yes, it's bad, but things can easily change this early in.

Even if it were a failure they'd hardly throw in the towel. GCN did pretty poorly.

Considering they made the most money out of them all and Japanese studios are still supporting them. Nah, they'll be fine.

I do think that, yes. Many analysts agree that it's a strong possibility too.

I would hate to see it happen, but possibly.

Let me ask you all this,

If the Wii U fails? What WILL Nintendo do Next??? Home console wise...?
