Does anybody expect a price drop any time soon?

Reason I ask is because all of the rumblings that the system isn't doing as well sales wise.

I want to buy one, but I'd hate to try and get one now and then have the price drop on me afterwards...that said, it seems a bit crazy to have that happen not so long after the console has been released, so I'm not holding my breath.

Just wanted to know if anyone's heard anything to the contrary. We are heading into the summer months now, and with the fall/winter following shortly thereafter, I guess it could be a possibility.

Yes.

That being said, if you have a membership, buy from Costco. They have a 90-day, no-questions-asked return policy, so if there is a price drop, you can just return it and buy a new one. And I'm pretty sure that if you buy the new one before you return the first one, you can keep your saves (but don't hold me to that).

Costco seems to be really tearing it up lately, I've been hearing more and more good **** about them.

Absolutely. I'd bet a good amount of money Nintendo will drop the price before the Holiday season.

They can't release all their big, 1st-party IPs at once and with competition from Sony and Microsoft coming at that point...they have to spur sales somehow.

Pikmin 3 and HD Windwaker aren't going to save them.

Well I'm wanting to get Monster Hunter, I can wait a bit but I'll be looking for deals nonetheless.

No, again a price drop for the sake of a price drop is meaningless unless they plan to rush games.
