I've noticed that Metroid Prime Trilogy, a Wii game, looks nice in 720p on Wii U. But other Wii games look like **** because of the jump in resolution from 480p.
What gives?! --- CURRENTLY PLAYING:: LEGO City Undercover PROGRESS:: About 3 hrs. into the game @ 3%.

RE4 Wii Edition looks like ass. Sonic Colors looks great, as does Last Story and Brawl. --- Most Excited For: SMT IV (3DS), ToX (CE, PS3), Pikmin 3 (Wii U), Fuse (PS3), Pokemon Y (3DS), Dragon's Crown (Vita). PSN: Lord_CBH / Nintendo Network: LordCBH
Weird. I wonder what causes some games to look clean, and others to look crumby. --- CURRENTLY PLAYING:: LEGO City Undercover PROGRESS:: About 3 hrs. into the game @ 3%.

Do games that used progressive scan look better than other games that didn't? It's hard to get games to look decent on modern HDTV's as old games were made to take advantage of scan lines on older TV's to mask limitations of the games. The Wii was not an HD console even though it supported Component output so I'm assuming it too took advantage of scan lines.
