I'm looking to buy a Wii U and was wondering how off-TV play interacts with non-Wii U games.
I've read it doesn't work with Wii games (boo!). Has anyone heard of them fixing this? I'd love to play Xenoblade on the GamePad.
I've read conflicting things on virtual console games. Does it work with virtual console games or not?
Thanks in advance!

I doubt this will ever be "fixed." The fact that Wii Mode is locked to a normal Wii is a selling point of upgraded VC games. --- -SNES- Hasta Pasta! Sieh nur wie ich laufen kann... Mich fängst du nicht, ich bin der Lebkuchenmann!

Wii games would need to get the full VC treatment to play on the pad. And at that point, you are better off remaking the game. Unless Nintendo starts releasing Wii games kn eShop this is never gonna happen.

Ah-ha. Well, thanks for the responses. I guess I'll have to settle for 100%ing Xenoblade on the TV then playing X on the GamePad.
