If Nintendo doesn't have a "3DS turnaround" with the Wii U this holiday...

Would you say then that the Wii U is in serious trouble?

Nintendo is pretty much going all out with a new 3D Mario, a new Donkey Kong Country, an exclusive 3D Sonic, along with their summer exclusives like TW101 and Pikmin 3.

This is their last stand before the PS4 and Xbox One launch, afterwards their big games releasing will be in direct competition with those consoles. I have to say it's now or never for the Wii U to take off and have the comeback people are waiting for

No I wouldn't, I don't like nintendo release time frame but their trailers do show some of their intentions. It looks like there is going to be heavy emphasis on local multiplayer . Its a risky strategy but it gives it a unique reason to get the system. Now all they have to do is communicate that to the consumer

I think Wii U will boost up sales this coming holiday because of the titles releasing in Fall. It won't fail.

Yes. Obviously. The WiiU, initially, was a bit of a half-hearted attempt to reconcile with core gamers. If the Wii doesn't turn around, it will turn into another Wii--a platform dominated by casual games and shovelware.

Nah, cause a LOT of gamers have already stated they would get the consoles JUST FOR Mario Kart and especially JUST for Smash. Take that for what you will.

I don't see it happening since Mario Kart 8 won't arrive till next year; 3D Mario and Mario Kart being within a month of each other during the holiday of 2011 was what saved 3DS. At this point I just hope it can sell enough to get by, I no longer have any hope of it actually being a huge hit like the handheld is.

It will turn around, but I'm not sure if it can hit as successful of an upswing as the 3ds. Hopefully Nintendo improves the marketing.

Kart, Smash, and Wii Sports is what arguable sold 100 million Wiis. I think Nintendo is banking on just a fraction of that success this generation, which will probably happen.

It's sad too because and half a dozen of my friends will all be buying WiiU's just for Smash :p.

I'll also be buying X (Working Title) and Mario Kart, but seriously Nintendo does need to up their game, I don't even like Zelda anymore.
