I love the new focus on primary colours.

As you've noticed, the Wii U games by Nintendo are really, really good looking. This is not because it's in HD (although it does help), it's because of the huge focus on primary colours (as noted by Sakurai). The games pop out and are really vibrant and alive, all due to proper colour choices. Developers can learn from Nintendo, shoveling money at games doesn't make it look good, but strong art direction does.

I love colors in my games. That's why this gen I'm probably only going to get Nintendo systems. Unless Vita or PS4 gets some really good JRPGS anyway. "Realistic" colors look ugly.

The best example for showing the trend of brown in pop games is Insomniac. Went from Spyro and R&C to resistance and FUSE.
