Imagine Lunar 2 without voice acting
now imagine Zelda with those voice actors

Personally I completely disagree with the notion that sound is inherently better than text.

Zelda just works better written, trust me.

I would not buy a Zelda game with voice acting. It's a perfect example of a game that doesn't need VAs to be good.
Official Ditto of the Pokemon X/Y board.
Official Neko Shogun of the Shin Megami Tensei IV board.

This, plus with text as I'm reading it I can imagine what it'd sound like if Link was actually speaking the way I'd want him to sound. If they have VA and it's awful well there's no way to fix that.
We need Castlevania: Bloodlines on Wii U VC.

How is this not voice acting (to some level):

Read the mania: http://www.fanfiction.net/~nonexistinghero
In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

I love the unique sounds people make when you interact with them, and I don't want that to go away, so lazy peeps don't have to read.

The crazy-eyed scientist by Lake Hylia's "Ohhhhh" is one of my faves.

That, and King Zora's "dooo-weep, dooo-weep" when he's sliding across his throne.

It's not laziness, it's just more immersive for most people to hear characters speak. It's why movies didn't stay silent. It wasn't because people were too lazy to read subs

We had voice acting in Mario Sunshine. How awesome was it hearing a conversation between Bowser and Bowser Jr?

Voice acting in a Zelda will suck, and my guess would be it'd be so terrible, it'd actually take me out of the game.

I want voices. I won't comment on or belittle anyone else's opinions, but I would prefer bad/corny voice acting to none. "Well excuuuse me princess" is better than "..." to me.
