Thanks for posting this. I'm going to have a hard time choosing between this and PIKMIN 3. Not sure which one I want to get. I'm not interested in getting both, since I am limited by time when it comes to games, but they both look great. I can't wait to see more footage of this game and see what people have to say about it once it's out!

This is the reason I bought a Wii U at launch...though the wait has been a surprise, I am still very much hyped for this

20 hours= less than a day.

20 hours? I'm having healthy skepticism with that. I love Platinum Games's...games, but I have to admit a lot of them are very short, within 10 hours. I'd be pleasantly surprised if it is indeed this long though.

Well a Pikmin type game does sound rather bland if it was only 10 hours.

It's not like Pikmin at all and the only similarities are isometric view + lot's of units. Anyhow, 20 hours is much longer than expected. Although, I don't give much credit to what devs say. It's probably closer to 15 hours, which is still much better than expected. Platinum's games are usually on the short side and Kamiya saying "WE FOCUS ON GAMEPLAY FUN ABOVE LENGTH" pretty much made people expect a 7-10 hour game at best.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

"The case of Wonderful 101, we really try to pack a lot of different ideas into it, and it got a lot bigger than I thought. And in fact we estimate that a normal play session would be 20 hours. Personally I think that I kept piling stuff on and I realized "Wow, this is going to be a pretty big game." But that notwithstanding, replayability is a really important factor, it has to be sort of easy to play in the sense that you don't get tired of playing it, and you would be able to ultimately play it in a day."

I'm surprised, the funny thing is it seems like he's kind of surprised himself too.
