Wii U and X1 can do 60fps 1080p, why can't PS4?

why is it only on gamefaqs do i see people bashing the graphics of mario kart 8 and X when on sites like neogaf there praised.

@Shamrock - that first MK8 screen you picked likely has at least a million polygons IN ONE TREE.

I'm talking about the trees/bushes things on the FAR right of the picture. Look how blocky they are! But even the tree to the left of those (above yellow "Mario Circuit" sign) is nothing too impressive for a home console in 2013. Quit stating things like they're factual, or at least link me to your evidence if you continue to do so. I mean really, how do you know that tree is made up of "at least a million" polygons? Starting to think you've just been trolling this whole time now...you can't possibly be this dense.

WiiU is the only actual console running 60 FPS 1080p.

M$'s games at E3 were running on PCs with $1,000 graphics cards.

Correct. The games on Xbox One were running on the PC and not the actual X1. That doesn't mean X1 can't do 1080p games at 60fps. It could take Mario Kart 8, for example, and run it at 1080p @ 60fps without even coming close to breaking a sweat, unlike the Wii U. You almost make it sound as if the Wii U is the only console that can possibly run games at 1080p @ 60fps...as if...the Wii U is more powerful than the X1 or PS4? Please tell me you don't believe that. And, please look at a spec comparison between the consoles.

Y'all are really starting to kill me with this mindset that Wii U can somehow push more polygons around the screen at a more stable framerate than the X1/PS4.

And I even love Nintendo, but fanboys....yuck. You're blinded by the REGGINATOR.

I merely stated a fact.

You guys are arguing what can do what when neither PS4 or Xbone hardware has demonstrated 60 FPS 1080p. You're debating the intended goals of the hardware. Take a look at past E3s and compare the eventual results with the intended goals. Nothing is guaranteed.

I think it has to do with a minimum intelligence level on NeoGAF to post. At least, I imagine there must be one, having been a part of this board since before its creation.

Hell, the tracks THEMSELVES will have at least thirty times the number of polys any tracks Forza will have.

LMFAO watch ONE MINUTE of that video from where I have synced it up to, and tell me again how Mario Kart 8 has "at least thirty times" the number of polys any tracks Forza will have. Not to mention the cockpit and driver seen in this Forza video...

/over

Every Mario Kart 8 track is far more dense. Keep in mind that there are some tracks that run on both sides of the pavement. There are tighter turns, inclines and declines requiring more polygons just for the paving surface.

Almost everything on the track in that video clip was a box. That means six polygons per building, plus touchups. Lrn2Geometry

YOU. Are the most sorry Nintendrone I've ever met. You really think every "building" is merely 6 polygons? Really?! Like they're all just flat and that's that? Look at the side of the building in this pic:

http://image.gamespotcdn.net/gamespot/images/2013/140/716325_20130521_screen001.jpg

You really think the entrance to that building, the light hanging in the entryway, the different levels of stone work, crownmolding-like architecture on the windows, windowsills, signs hanging further down the street, the lamp pole...is just 6 polygons?

Now, after seeing the side of that building, remember that we're talking about an entire city made up of that quality, as seen in this pic:

Just like you saw in that video.

The buildings you are seeing in the video and in these pics are so well done they look like photorealism. They're highly impressive. Meanwhile, in Mario Kart 8 you see extremely angular bushes and wheels. In Forza, bushes actually look like bushes and wheels are much more round.

Yeah, the chapel/clock tower above the car in this pic, not to mention the architecture of the buildings surrounding it, are made of just 6 polygons per building and aren't as complex as Mario Kart 8:

Oh and don't forget about the statues lining the bridge, and the helicopter.

*sigh*

Literally can't believe I'm arguing with someone over whether Mario Kart 8 or Forza 5 has more impressive graphics/more polygons.

EDIT: Would it make you feel better knowing that I plan on buying Mario Kart 8 one day...?
