No interest at all in X. Looks like another JRPG with boring repetitive combat, anime stereotypes and a large scale.
Says the one that has mostly JRPGs in the games that he owns.
Anyways, I'll be waiting eagerly for X. Xenoblade Chronicles was amazing and one of my favourite games of the gen.
Xenosaga episode 2 is definitely the worst of the series (not only the Xenosaga series but of Xeno games in general), i can't blame you for disliking it. they butchered the pacing, gameplay, characterization, overall the flow of events, and even the character design, bigtime, and the main plot of it only focuses on characters who, in episode 1 and 3, are only supporting cast and a secondary antagonist (Jr., Gaignun, and Albedo). episode 3 got it back on the right track in terms of not only gameplay but also they brought back the voices and appearances of them from ep1, and actually made the plot go back on track to the big significant mysteries and main character arcs and such, and paced it all smoothly.

1. I haven't updated my collection page in years
2. Peoples tastes change as they get older.
3. Because I have played so many JRPG's, I'm at least qualified to have a discussion about their current state.
Yeah, I suspected as much based on the reviews. I always wanted to play Xenosaga Ep 1, but it never got a european release. Ep 2 did, and it came with a 3 hour long DVD summarising Ep 1, but the whole experience left me cold.
I didn't really get into Xenogears plot either, though I did kind of like it's gameplay and battle systems, they seemed more action focused, though still not as fun as a fully controllable action game, or as strategic as a Fire Emblem or Advance Wars...
