Kickstarter: Armikrog

Hi, everyone. I'm typing because a Kickstarter Project needs to reach its goal in three days, and I think you could be interested in helping out.

The Project is a point and click adventure game known as "Armikrog". The project is being made by Pencil Test Studios Inc., and is being headed by Doug TenNapel, maker of such games as "The Neverhood". -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN1-Y1wJzbM

In Armikrog, you play as an astronaut named Tommynaut. He and his talking dog Beak-Beak crash land on an alien planet, and find themselves locked up in a fortress called Armikrog. I imagien that the plot of the game is to escape Armikrog.

The project needs $900,000.00 in order to be funded, and it needs to reach its goal by June 27th at 12:07PM EDT. As of this post, the project has $638,401.00.

Now, here's the interesting thing. The project is close to its funding goal, but a stretch goal has been announced. If the project gets an additional $50,000.00, it will be eligible to appear on the Wii U. The project has announced what it could do with the gamepad if it gets on, and it looks pretty good from where I sit.

If anyone is interested in helping to fund this project, here is a link to the Kickstarter Page.

I for one am interested in seeing more from the maker of The Neverhood. Never played it myself, but from what I've heard, it's a really good one, and that would be enough to convince me to help Armikrog to get funded. So, I hope you guys are willing to help see this project get funded.

It's a point-and-click adventure.

I doubt it'll get funded.

I posted about this on PotD but no one cares :(

Game looks so good. It's a shame games like this go under the radar while every brown and grey Sci-Fi modern/post-modern warfare FPS just gets fawned over.

It's actually quite cool looking, but 900k is a REALLY high target. Very few games can make that.

I love Earthworm Jim.

I adore Neverhood.

And I was happy to throw money at my monitor for Armikrog. Buuut... 900k is a LOT of money... I will be surprised if this happens.

Well, it's at $640,756.00 right now, so there's a chance.

I still have a problem with this kickstarter thing. In my day the developers didn't go around pathetically begging fans for money to make a game. I don't like it :/
