Shaping up to be awesome so far. With the way it's trending it looks like it'll hit $130,000 at least. The WiiU version is the $80,000 stretch goal, so get in on it.

I think they changed their stretch goals since I last looked - I distinctly remember the Wii U port being $105,000 stretch goal.

Them dropping it to 80k makes it almost a lock. If they maintain their average collection rate since they started this one, they'll be at a tad under 96k.

Gaming is like a pair of boobs - Sony and Microsoft fight over whos boobs look more realistic, while Nintendo is about having fun with them - Walkiethrougie

well, since it's definitely coming to the Wii U if they meet the stretch goal, I'm pledging.

It's just a game relying on nostalgia to garner sales, and those are dime a dozen nowadays. Pass.

Why is this a bad thing?

I'd love to see a general return to 1990's game design across the board, at least when it comes to RPGs. With very few exceptions this last generation was pretty bad when it came to the genre, both in the Japanese (i.e.: console-style) and Western (i.e.: computer-style) styles and the height of both was in the 90's.

Trying to look at the games of the area and take what made them good is a very good thing, IMO.
