Do you want voice acting in Zelda?

Link is a silent protagonist and should definitely stay that way.

Don't have much else against voice acting at important scenes in the game.

However, voice acting for everyone, every time they need to talk is just more money to spend for not much benefit. Stick to text boxes for "Press ZR to use item slot #3!" and other similarly unimportant comments.

i think zelda would have a strong yet feminine voice. not an annoying one like P.Peach's.

Yes but there shouldn't be too much dialogue in a Zelda game. Dialogue almost ruined Skyward Sword.

I'd like to see a goofy Zelda game. With games, like Jak & Daxter, Persona 4, Ratchet & Clank, Monkey Island, doing it so well, I think the Legend of Zelda games can do a lot better than what it's doing now, and could be great compared to what we have in other games.

I can't see Link talking though, so he can stay silent. But Zelda games have gotten tons more focus on cinematics and story-telling, and especially with Skyward Sword it's a bit jarring to have such effort done in the cutscenes complete with lip-synching...but there's nothing coming out of their mouths. It's become less of a "charm" and feels more like laziness to me.

And not every in-game line has to be voice-acted either. I'm fine with full-motion cutscenes only having voice-acting for the characters, while everywhere else is just the classic text boxes.


Man, that was stupid.
I don't want that.
