Would you be okay with a 3rd Person Metroid done well?

I'd honestly prefer it. I find 1st Person perspective unplayable.

Possibly? Hard to say considering there is a lot of jumping in Metroid.

"Done well" is pretty subjective. That said, I'm not opposed to an over-the-shoulder third-person-perspective game. It might make aiming a bit tricky, though, unless they arrange the camera to make sure Samus doesn't block our view of the enemies.

Done well? Definitely.

I did quite enjoy the First Person Metroid Primes, but I don't think there's any reason it has to remain there.

No qualms here. I'm fine either way to be honest, as long as its not a spinoff (I enjoyed pinball though). I personally want an exploration based action adventure game like the rest of the main series entries.

Visual aestethics don't matter as long as its a true Metroid title. Id love some online multiplayer, I wouldn't even mind SOME cover based shooter elements (Clancey style), I guess that fits 3rd person. But I won't complain if the next game IS NOT like that.

I just like Metroid. Zelda too.
