You know, I give this guy credit for his work on early Simpsons episodes, but I haven't found anything else he has ever done to be funny in the slightest. Why some people are so enthralled by him completely baffles me.

Stewart and Colbert walk all over him as far as late night comedy is concerned.

It couldn't possibly be because people have different senses of humour. That couldn't be it at all.

Doesn't really seem like it. I get his jokes, they're just not nearly as clever as The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. There's much less subtlety and the jokes are always "more obvious".

Perhaps because it's on a major network and not cable it's aimed at a "lower class" audience who finds shows like The Daily Show too pretentious. That's about all I can come up with.

Or - you know - other people have a different sense of humour. It really isn't that far-fetched.

The difference between a great joke and an okay joke doesn't lie entirely in your sense of humour. Some people are much better at comedy than others.

There's a reason shows like Arrested Development are universally acclaimed while no one liked Hiccups.

Wow, it's hard to believe someone is so condescending on the subject of comedy. If it's not for you, it's not for you. You don't have to go around the internet looking for ways to feel superior to others to make up for whatever lack of superiority you may have in the real world. Get outta here with ur snooty attitude.
