How on earth would this be a good thing? I'd rather not have microtransactions in Animal Crossing.

Not a good call. The FTP bubble will surely bust. Iwata said they would not be diluting proven brands with FTP and I agree, that is a mistake.

As I'm not really a familiar with the game and not as big fan to nintendo I completely agree with you guys they better not start this, then other companies might to.

This is why I'm iffy about the ouya system coming out its screaming microtransactions.

If this keeps up no one will want to game anymore.

I used to be an adventurer like you until I took an arrow in the knee, microsoft said deal with it!

Most people I've talked to are buying the Ouya as an emulation machine, not for any quality of the hardware or software applications itself.

On the subject of Animal Crossing, the game is brilliantly set up for microtransactions, and that's exactly the sort of thing that would ruin the appeal of the brand. It could be implemented extremely well, but then there goes the reason to actually play...

I wouldn't mind a F2P Animal Crossing game as long as we still got more regular Animal Crossing games.

I'll also say AC3DS could potentially be one of the 3DS best selling game LTD. With over 3 mil in Japan alone it's looking like this game will move over 10 million LTD.
